In 2008 we have adopted a 7 day/7 night schedule for those people that can only escape to paradise one week at a time. Our 2008 schedule is designed to cater to whole group bookings only with the price based on a flat rate per week for the Mark and Dave's Place in its entirety . We are capable of accommodating up to 8 people in 4 separate cabanas but you are free to reserve the entire house with as little as 2 people if you'd like! Most groups choose to come in groups of 4 so they have a cabana to themselves - all cabanas include two single beds, hot water shower, tv/dvd, wireless internet and vintage Nicaraguan design and appeal. Each new group is scheduled to arrive on Saturday and depart the following Saturday. Our schedule allows you to utilize your vacation time to a premium and only requires 5 days off work. After being behind the SURFER light table for more than four years now, deciding where and how to spend my allotted “out of office” time has become much more difficult than I ever imagined. With each new photo submission that comes in, the possibilities overwhelm me. Such is the curse with this job.
Mark and Dave's Place is in the province of Rivas, centrally located to all of the best waves in this region. Most importantly we offer our guests exclusive access to the best beachbreak in Nicaragua, Colorado's, without a boat or crazy 4 wheel drive mission necessary. Besides great surf we are also steps away from the gorgeous 9 hole Hacienda Iguana Golf Course. This is one of the few golf courses on Earth where you might literally be the only person playing as it is brand new and has not gathered a robust following yet. If you are looking to combine surfing and golfing on your trip, you've found the right place! Mark and Dave's Place is available for a flat rate per week for the house with additional activities/features available for additional costs. We highly encourage our guests to utilize Hacienda Iguana's restaurant for most of your meals but your group is more than welcome to purchase your own food/drinks at the market on the way to the house. The house will be stocked with water and if you are looking to not have to worry about anything we will be happy to coordinate all of your meals, transport, and activities prior to your departure. Please note that credit cards are not accepted many places in Nicaragua but cash works wonders. For your week long stay you should take about $400 US to be on the safe side. Muchas gracias!
